About us

Why does the WorldLink Vision Foundation exist?

Actually, it all began almost 24 years ago when we, along with a German-Japanese sibling pair, decided to start setting up a Japanese stylish restaurant a bit different from what was known in Germany at that time. Over the years, four restaurants showed up in Cologne and Munich. Like any endeavor, it required a lot of dedication, passion and engagement. And eventually, after 24 years strong enough to continue without us with new partners, they made way for a new idea. We sold our shares with the declared goal, that our engagement after 24 years shall continue in "something good", something that endures and lasts through generations. Making the world a little better sustainably — that was our motivation. With the purchase price from the sale, we then founded the WorldLink Vision Foundation non-profit corporation (WorldLink Vision Foundation gGmbH) in 2023. And it feels good every day.

What resources will the WorldLink Vision Foundation have for project implementation?

The WorldLink Vision Foundation wanted to finance its projects independently without relying on third-party donations or organizing charity events. Filippos Zariopis, a passionate sailor and friend, played a crucial role. He left his international consulting career to pursue sailing and became an expert in chartering yachts. With his help, the foundation established a 100% subsidiary, World Link Vision IKE, in Athens, Greece, focusing on chartering a new sailing catamaran, a Lagoon 51, and dedicate itself to the adventure of chartering in one of the most beautiful sailing areas in the world, the Aegean Sea. We named this Lagoon 51 NAVYA. But NAVYA is not just another beautiful yacht; it sails with a purpose, allowing the foundation to fund its projects through chartering and hope that many people will love NAVYA as we do and want to spend the most beautiful time of the year with her.

What is special about NAVYA?

We would like to summarize this with these few sentences. Each sentence represents our deep conviction that we have done the right thing, our commitment to "doing good" and the promise to do justice to NAVYA with what we will do with our projects.

NAVYA – set sail and make things possible.
NAVYA is more than just a beautiful catamaran.
She is fully owned by the WorldLink Vision Foundation, a charitable organization founded by the siblings Susanne and Alexander Remes in Munich, Germany.
In a sea full of yachts, NAVYA stands alone, setting sail with the unique mission to do good.
